Moving Toward the Holiday Season

I've been back to work as a teacher in one of the local school districts for three weeks now, and it has been a very busy three weeks! I'm teaching two new classes this year, plus the one I taught last year. I've never taught the two new classes, so I'm building lesson plans and activities from scratch.

Three weeks into the school year means we are three weeks closer to the holiday season. Halloween will be here soon.

The stores are already putting out Halloween stuff, and yes, I've already picked up a bag  of candy corn. I'm trying to slowly eat it, but it's hard. I've also started a little decorating for Halloween. I picked up a new door mat for the holidays. I saw several other items I want, but I didn't get them today. Maybe I'll get them next week.

Halloween through Christmas is my favorite time of year. It's just a magical time. You have the fun of Halloween, giving thanks for family and friends at Thanksgiving, and the lights and wonders of Christmas.

This year I'm going to be part of the pre-Thanksgiving shopping. The Saturday and Sunday before Thanksgiving, I will be at the Meet the Authors Book Fair which is part of the Weihnachtsmarkt 2013 in New Braunfels. The event runs from Friday, November 22, through Sunday, November 24. I will only be there Saturday and Sunday. I will be selling and signing books and bookmarks.

Here are the bookmarks for Guardian of Atlantis and Wrath of Hades.
